Time for you to #PRwithATP

Hi. We are Team Atlas.

With his sociable and inclusive demeanour, Head Coach Clinton can be counted on to create an upbeat training environment conducive to fun, comprehensive learning.

Coupled with his strong emphasis on meticulous technique, he strives to ensure that all his learners leave every training session having discovered something new.

Clinton’s background in powerlifting, a sport of strength through technique, has led him to cultivate a deep understanding of how to develop strength as efficiently and as safely as possible.

As he had a small frame, he knew from the start that he couldn’t muscle his way to big weights. He knew that if he tried to do so, he would not only hit a plateau really fast, but also get injured in the process.

This is where he started reading as much as he could, and learning from previous champions of the sport. He also started practising his lifts as extensively as possible.

Through constant refinement of the process from, he discovered some of the best tweaks on how to maximize the lifting techniques so he could lift the most weight. This resulted in him winning competition after competition, eventually making it to a podium finish at the IPF World Championships!

Throughout the process of guiding his trainees, Clinton fosters an awareness of how they can stay positive mentally and bring out the best in themselves. He knows exactly how challenging it can be with a smaller frame, and what sort of mental prep is required to get under the crazy weights required to win competitions!

With the Powerlifter Development Project, he has built a wealth of experience to help anyone become a confident powerlifter!

What to expect

If you are new to online coaching these are some of what you can expect

If you’re:

– making zero progress no matter how hard you train…

– constantly battling nagging injuries…

– losing motivation and getting frustrated…

– struggling to find the time that most long workouts require…

This is the program that will change everything and finally help you get the results you want.

What makes the Powerlifter Development Project so different?

The Powerlifter Development Project is our 16 Week, 4 Phase online coaching program where you will be coached from start to finish on your total development as a powerlifter.

  • Phase 1 – Technique
During the Technique phase, the focus is on diagnosing your weaknesses, refining and optimising your current technique.
  • Phase 2 – Accumulation
This is probably the hardest phase of the whole program as the volume will be some of the highest you will experience in the program thus far.
  • Phase 3 – Strengthening
This phase what powerlifting is all about! You will be working with near maximal weights and breaking your own personal limits in the process!
  • Phase 4 – Peak & Test
This phase is the most fun and sometimes, the most nerve wrecking! You’ll learn how to do a peaking protocol, ending with a test to see the new gains you have made!

With the skills you’ve developed in this program, you will be confident & ready for your first competition!

Some of our happy clients

1. Why did you decide to get online coaching?
Being a noob, I started out wanting to give online coaching a try in hopes of improving myself and getting help with my technique as I started out my lifting journey.

2. What is one major issue that the ATP coaching service has helped you overcome?
Through lifting, I have gained way more confidence in myself and my abilities! Aside from learning proper technique, Clinton helped me overcome a ton of mental barriers when it comes to lifting. He always tells me to approach the lift with more aggression and confidence which has helped translate to my everyday life as well.

3. How has your experience been with ATP thus far?

ATP has been great so far, I get my programs weekly and my coach constantly checks in with me to understand how I’m feeling both physically and mentally. Through atlas I’ve come to know quite a few other lifters and we all sometimes train together. They have since turned from being just acquaintances to really good friends.

Thank you ATP! (:

Frequently Asked Questions

How many days a week are the workouts?

The structure of the program requires 3 to 4 days of training commitment a week. Each session is primed to be able to be completed in 1.5 hours or less. The program is also adjusted based on many factors such as your age, your lifestyle, your level amongst others. After you sign up, you will be required to schedule a call with your Coach. Typically we find many clients progress well on a three day workout week but it does depend on the factors mentioned.

How is this different from other programs?

This program is designed specifically to take you from absolute newbie to competitive powerlifter from the start to finish. As competitive powerlifters ourselves we know what is required and expected to compete at the highest level, and this wealth of experience will help you avoid the pitfalls of making bad technique mistakes that can cost you months of progress.

How do you structure your workouts?

We do focus on the big lifts as much as possible in order to iron out your technique and get your body used to the load but we do supplement them with exercises that will strengthen your weaknesses and ultimately fix your weaknesses and get you stronger. The exact structure will depend on the individual profile, which we will understand better after the on-boarding call.

I have not lifted before, can I still do this program?

Yes you can! The first 4 weeks are specifically tuned to iron out your technique in the big lifts. We will walk you through all the technical aspects of the lifts and work on your technique. Using our PDP model, we will be able to break down big priorities to focus on each week so that you can get maximum efficiency in your technique in the quickest time possible!

How much can I gain on my total from this program?

Honestly, if you were just starting out, or if you had a lot of technique corrections to be made, you could easily add up to 50kg to your total. On average, we see most people add between 30kg to 40kg on their totals with this program. This would also depend on the level you are at but it is not uncommon to observe increases in your working weights of 10kg within the first technique phase!

Do you work with clients over 50 years old?

Yes! Again this program is perfect for any one who is starting powerlifting, regardless of age or sex! The only criteria is that you don’t have any current injuries that might affect your ability to carry out the program. If you are unsure, simply let us know in your sign up sheet and we will advise you further from there.
